A woman died in hospital after she was hit by a pickup truck early Monday morning in Vanderhoof.
RCMP were called to the scene on Burrard Street near Omineca Street at about 3 a.m.
The pickup's driver remained at the scene and spoke to police.
"There is evidence to suggest that the woman may have been approaching vehicles and at one point prior to being struck, had lay in the middle of the road," RCMP said.
The woman's name and age were not released.
