A 19-year-old woman was sent to hospital after being attacked early Sunday morning with what police believe was an edged weapon.
Police were called to a Ruggles Street home at about 2:30 a.m. and while on their way were told the attack took place in Rainbow Park about 25 minutes earlier.
A perimeter was set up at the park and a police service dog was called in but the suspect was not found.
The woman was treated for a laceration and later released.
