Winston's Restaurant, a mainstay of the Coast Inn of the North, is closing forever.
June 15 is the closing day of the dining room that has operated there since the 1980s.
It is not known how many employees will be affected by the restaurant's closure. Coast Inn manager Joey Beltrano said "there would inevitably be some employment impact" but he and the hotel's management team was examining ways "to absorb as many people as possible into other positions within the organization."
Dining options remain at the Coast Inn of the North, and the two remaining onsite eateries - the Coast Coffee Garden and Shogun Japanese Steakhouse - will continue to operate.
According to Beltrano, "Chef Tony Heesterman is refreshing the hotel's two other restaurant menus. That is already well underway, Tony is working his tail off and he especially wants to add fresh and local items to the menu."
