A police callout for more information about a Williams Lake man who allegedly held a woman against her will in a transport truck he was driving has resulted in seven more charges involving three additional women.
Robert Fagg, 24, now faces two counts of sexual assault, three counts of assault, and one count each of forcible confinement and break and enter from incidents alleged to have occurred between 2007 and 2012, RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said Friday.
Fagg was arrested near Smithers in April following a dramatic episode that began when the woman in the truck managed to send a text message to a friend who then called 911.
911 operators and RCMP tracked the suspect's and the victim's cellphones, identified the truck he was driving and arrested him without incident 90 minutes later.
At the time of his arrest, police said Fagg was known to meet women on the popular social website Plenty of Fish and asked anyone who had contacted him on the website or had a past encounter or relationship with him to contact RCMP.
In addition to charges of assault, forcible confinement and uttering threats from the April incident, Fagg was also originally charged with assault, forcible confinement and uttering threats against another female stemming from several alleged incidents in December.
On Monday, police arrested Fagg in Quesnel on the latest charges. He will remain in custody until at least Wednesday when he is to appear in Williams Lake provincial court, Moskaluk said.
