Quesnel RCMP received multiple reports Wednesday, Aug. 13 of a man jumping into traffic along Highway 97 at Lavally Road.
While driving to the scene, first responders received word that the man had been hit by a transport truck and had sustained serious, life-threatening injuries.
First responders provided life-saving measures until the man was airlifted to Vancouver General Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Highway 97 was closed for seven hours but later reopened.
