We turned on our new-look website Wednesday and we couldn’t be happier.
It’s a big improvement over our previous site, both for readers and advertisers.
The home page is cleaner and easier to navigate, with more news, more photos and more opinion.
But make no mistake - this isn’t just window dressing or what a lady from Alaska once called “putting lipstick on a pig.”
The website is better and there is more content, which will keep getting better. You can expect more improvements in the coming days as our staff gets better acquainted with all of the new features the site offers.
We’ll be devoting more reporters and editors to keeping the website fresh with breaking news every day, not just weekday mornings and afternoons.
Our parent company is called Glacier Media, not Glacier Newspapers.
In the same way, the Prince George Citizen is not just a paper product that’s printed six times a week and arrives on your doorstep before 7 a.m. Besides our growing specialty publications and special events businesses, The Citizen is devoting itself more than ever before to be your online news source, through our website and through our social media channels, to reach you on your desktop computers, your tablets and your mobile phones.
