A further five to 15 cm of snow was expected to fall Friday as an Environment Canada weather warning remained in effect.
"A Pacific low pressure system is moving southwards down the B.C. coast today," Environment Canada said in the warning.
"The associated warm front spread snow into the Central Interior last night giving between 10 to 15 centimetres to a few regions by 4 a.m.
"The snow will continue until late this afternoon or early evening as the Pacific system moves to the south."
The highest amounts were forecast for the Cariboo and Chilcotin regions, while the Williston region and most of the Yellowhead should receive five cm or less.
