City workers have finished installing a new pipe connecting two of the city's water wells.
Crews are "flushing" the system, getting water back into the mains that lead from the well located in Wilson Park, the city said Thursday night. The pipe connects the well to one at Fishtrap Island.
"Residents west of Central Street and north of 15th Avenue may notice that they have low water pressure or even no water at this time," the city said.
"These residents should turn on the taps in their home until water flows normally again. If the water runs dirty, keep the taps open until it runs clear.
"The length of time this is needed will be different for different houses."
The effort completes a year-long $3-million project.
