Prince George RCMP are advising that counterfeit $50 and $20 bills are being passed at fast food restaurants and at some grocery stores as recently as Friday.
The bogus bills, being passed around by a man and a woman, are of poor quality having been photocopied.
The male suspect is described as a chubby Caucasian man 20 to 25 years old with a goatee, short dark hair and last seen wearing a white hoodie.
The female suspect is described as between the ages of 25 and 30 years old with a slim build, about five feet, two inches tall, and last seen wearing a black ball cap, with a black and white checkered hoodie
Police say the fake bills began showing up Thursday night, and so far seven files have been opened with respect to them.
