The Westgate Walmart will be the place to make a donation to the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign this Saturday.
It's among the stores participating in a nationwide Walmart Fill the Kettle Day. Walmart Canada will match donations made up to a maximum of $100,000.
As of Thurs., Dec. 12, the local campaign had raised $97,000. The goal is $300,000.
"We are proud to be a long-time partner of The Salvation Army because we know their work makes a big difference for many people in communities from coast-to-coast," said Walmart Canada executive vice president of people and corporate affairs Susan Muiga.
