Violence came into play during an attempted sexual assault of an 18-year-old Prince George female Thursday as she was walking in the 2400 block of Victoria Street around 10:30 p.m.

As two native males and one native female attempted to sexually assault her, the woman was violently grabbed by the throat, slammed up against a wall and then thrown to the ground. As one male became particularly violent, an unknown female in the vicinity shouted at the men to stop, and all three departed the scene when the woman shouted a them.

One suspect is described as being a rough looking native with dark complexion, scruffy facial hair, and having a stale smell of liquor on his breath. He's about 35 years old with shoulder-length black hair, standing about five feet, eight inches and wearing a grey sweatshirt.

The second male is a native recalled as tall and lanky, wearing a blue hoodie pulled over his head.

Police are asking the woman who shouted and drove away the assailants, and probably saved the victim further pain and suffering, to speak to them along with anyone else who may have information regarding this incident. Call police at 250-561-3300, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or go online at www.pgrimestoppers.bc.ca
