Prince George RCMP have released footage from a surveillance camera showing two people breaking into a pickup truck and are asking for the public's help in finding the culprits.
The incident occurred on July 2 shortly before 7:15 a.m. in a covered area on Williams Crescent off Ferry Avenue.
It shows a male trying to open a locked car door before entering an unlocked pick-up truck while a female provides a lookout from across the street.
The male rummages through the pickup and makes off with some cash and personal documents.
The female, meanwhile, tries to open the door on a vehicle across the street but is unsuccessful.
After leaving the pickup, the male walks to the neighbouring driveway where he attempts to open two more locked vehicles, unsuccessfully.
"All five vehicles were checked in about 90 seconds," RCMP said. "Please ensure that your vehicles are locked whenever unattended and that valuables are never left in your vehicle. Invest in an anti-theft device."
Anyone who may have information on the incident is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-562-3300.
