Vandals hit Haldi Hyundai

Vandals did considerable damage to a vehicle on Haldi Road either late Friday night or early Saturday morning. Police were called at about 10:20 a.m. Saturday and found more than just typical mischief.

Vandals did considerable damage to a vehicle on Haldi Road either late Friday night or early Saturday morning. Police were called at about 10:20 a.m. Saturday and found more than just typical mischief.

"The vehicle, a 2008 Hyundai Entourage, had its tires stabbed, windows smashed, exterior

spray painted and interior doused in gasoline," said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass. "The damage is estimated to be more than $5,000."

It is not known if there is one or more suspects involved, and no motive was readily known by police. Douglass said this vehicle was "was parked at a residence," not unattended in an obscured place, and called it a "a blatant act of vandalism." He urged the public to call in any information that might help.
