Two people were killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 16 west of Prince George.
The two were in a sport utility vehicle that collided with a work truck, witnesses told RCMP, who were called to the scene at 8:50 a.m.
The collision occurred about 33 kilometres west of Prince George and about two kilometres east of the Isle Pierre turnoff.
The two occupants of the work truck were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
As of 1:15 p.m., the stretch was reopened to single-lane traffic while investigators remained on the scene to collect evidence. Updates can be found at DriveBC.ca.
Name of the deceased were not released Friday and the matter has been handed over to the B.C. Coroners Service.
