RCMP have arrested two teenage boys in relation to an apparent joyride in a stolen vehicle.

A Ford Escape which went missing from a Sycamore Crescent sometime over Tuesday night was found crashed into a tree in Gordon Bryant Park off First Avenue the next afternoon.

Police believe three youths fled the scene. No suspects were initially found but a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were later arrested as a result of a subsequent investigation, RCMP said Thursday.

Both were suffering non-life threatening injuries believed to have been from the collision, RCMP added.

The two, whose names were not provided, were released on a promise to appear in court on Dec. 20.
