A pair of Prince George residents are facing charges after breaking and entering into an abandoned building.

Cpl. Craig Douglass says at roughly 8:30 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 19), officers from the RCMP's Downtown Safety Unit saw two people breaking into a vacant building near the corner of Second Avenue and Quebec Street.

A police dog service team was then deployed into the building to help arrest the suspects who were located shortly after and taken into custody.

As a result of the incident, the BC Prosecution Service has approved the following charges against 44-year-old Quinnton Vern Campbell and 28-year-old April Leanna Jackson of Prince George:

  • Break, enter and commit

Both were released on bail and are scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 13, 2019.
