Two people were killed in a single vehicle rollover Monday afternoon on Highway 16.
The victims were a 76-year-old woman and a 78-year-old woman, who were pronounced dead at the scene, near Terracanna, about 50 kilometres east of McBride, North District RCMP said.
Two others, a 78-year-old man and an 82-year-old man, were sent to McBride hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
McBride RCMP were called to the incident at 2:14 p.m.
Witnesses told the officers that an eastbound vehicle went off the road and very gradually rolled into the ditch before coming to rest on its side.
The names of the deceased were not released and the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
