Both the driver of a commercial transport truck and of a sport utility vehicle were killed Wednesday morning in a collision on Highway 16 about four kilometres east of Tete Jaune Cache.
"Officers attended to find the driver of each vehicle deceased at scene," North District RCMP said. "There were no other occupants in either vehicle."
The cause of the collision, which occurred shortly after 8 a.m., remained under investigation as of early afternoon and it was expected the highway would be closed until 6 p.m. with no detour available.
Names of the deceased will not be released by police.
