Charges stemming from an armed robbery of a Hart-area gas station early morning Tuesday have been approved against two men.

Kaiden Imbeault-Bachand faces counts of dangerous driving, fleeing police, resisting arrest and careless use or storage of a firearm.

Russell William John Smith has been charged with  possessing weapon for dangerous purpose, occupying vehicle knowing firearm is present and two counts of possessing a firearm without licence or registration.

The two were among four arrested after RCMP tracked a minivan linked to the robbery of the 8000-block Hart Highway gas station to the VLA.

The vehicle fled from police and was located again a short distance away, stuck in the middle of Strathcona Park.

The two remained in custody as of Wednesday morning.
