A suspected guitar thief is on the loose.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Justin James Klyne, 24. He is described as Caucasian, 173 cm (5'8") tall and weighing 64 kg (141 lb) with black hair and green eyes.
Klyne, who is known to police and the court, is considered violent and should not be approached, RCMP warned. Instead, call police if you see him.
Klyne and two co-accused - Trevor Jeffrey Weaver, 34, and Ashley Chantelle Paul, 26 - are suspected of breaking into a storage locker in a 3000-block 15th Avenue apartment sometime over the night of March 9 and making off with about $2,000 worth of property, including three guitars.
A man and a woman attempted to pawn two guitars the next morning but were turned away and the shop's owner later learned the items were stolen, RCMP said.
Then, just after 6 p.m., general duty officers conducted a traffic stop near the corner of Nation Crescent and 15th Avenue and Weaver and Paul were arrested without incident. Police followed up by executing a search warrant on a 1400-block Nation Crescent home where the guitars and other items were found.
In the process, Klyne was identified as a third suspect.
All three have been charged possession of stolen property under $5,000.
As well Weaver and Paul have been charged with several theft and fraud related counts from an alleged December 2017 incident.
Both Weaver and Paul remained in custody as of Thursday.
Anyone who may have information on where Klyne may be is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca (English only).
