Two men are in custody on suspicion of carrying out a kidnapping and assault that left the victim seriously injured.

Noah Damien Basil-Tom, 20, and Daryn James Middleton, 25, have each been charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, forcible confinement and breaching probation from the alleged incident.

Prince George RCMP said the two were arrested at a "temporary structure on the 400-block of Ottawa Street" - otherwise known as the Moccasin Flats encampment - after the victim contacted police on Sunday morning, saying the attack occurred at the location.

Basil-Tom and Middleton matched the description the victim had provided police, RCMP said.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.

Both suspects are known to police, RCMP said.
