A trial date has been set for accused serial killer Cody Alan Legebokoff.
During a hearing in Vancouver, Sept. 9, 2013 was set as the start date for the trial in B.C. Supreme Court in Prince.
Legebokoff is charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Prince George-area women who disappeared in the region, starting in 2009.
Legebokoff, a Fort St. James native, was arrested on Nov. 27, 2010, when an RCMP officer checked a suspicious vehicle that had just pulled onto a Prince George-area highway from an unused logging road.
When the vehicle's tracks were retraced along the snowy trail, officers found the body of 15-year-old Loren Donn Leslie, just hours after she had been killed - and even before her parents knew she was missing.
Further investigation linked the case to the discovery of 35-year-olds Jill Stuchenko and Cynthia Maas, in separate locations, but the body of the alleged fourth victim, 23-year-old Natasha Montgomery, has never been found.
