One of the trails at Mount Robson Provincial Park partially reopened for day use last week, after flooding closed the park on July 1.

Flooding washed out bridges, flooded campgrounds and made trails unsafe, according to information released by BC Parks. The Berg Lake Trail reopened for day use on Aug. 5, however, access is restricted to the section from the trailhead parking lot to the Kinney Lake campground.

However, all camping on the Berg Lake Trail system has been closed for the 2021 season. BC Parks urged trail users to be mindful and obey all warning signs on the trail.

The trail will remain closed past Kinney Lake for the remainder of 2021, and the Moose River Trail also remains closed.
Landslides in 2018 closed a section of the Mumm Basin route, which is accessed from the Robson Pass campground. The trail is open up to the posted turn-around point and closed beyond that point.
