Today marks the last day as head of the Prince George RCMP for Supt. Eric Stubbs.
After three years as the city's top cop and a total of 14 years in northern B.C., Stubbs is moving on to a new role in Ottawa as the director general of national criminal operations.
"Supt. Stubbs has provided a tremendous service to the citizens of northern B.C. through his work in four communities over 14 years," said acting officer in charge of the RCMP in northern B.C. Supt. Lesley Bain. "He has had a significant impact in each community he has policed, none more than Prince George. He will be greatly missed and we wish him the best in his new role in Ottawa."
The P.G. detachment will be headed in an interim capacity by current operations officer Insp. Brad Anderson, who, in a press release, thanked Stubbs for his leadership.
"It has been a pleasure working for him in such a positive environment," Anderson said.
