Downtown Prince George is ready to celebrate the changing of the leaves and that slight chill in the air with its Fallfest.
It starts this Saturday and runs until October 12. Saturdays in particular will be good days to spend downtown, according to Downtown Prince George executive director Colleen Van Mook.
"We have had so much fun hosting our seasonal festivals and miss seeing the crowds of smiling faces in our downtown streets," Van Mook said. "However, downtown is still the scene for safe and fun shopping, eating, and exploring experiences for everyone."
Fallfest Saturdays will feature the last four outdoor markets of the season. The All Vendors Market at 1533 2nd Ave., will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and both the Prince George Farmers Market and the Wilson Square Market will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
And a pancake breakfast will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1116 6th Ave., 8-11 a.m. To order tickets in advance, go to downtownpg.com/fallfest/.
Starting this Saturday, the webpage will also be the place to check out the restaurants that are ready to host safe dining and to look for the Downtown Experience packages on offer.
Two of those packages will also go two draw winners.
To enter, take a photo of your purchases from downtown businesses and share on the Downtown Prince George Facebook page throughout the whole month.
You could win a Brew Masters dinner for six (value $450) or a Downtown Staycation for a family of four (value $350).
