Severe thunderstorms are in the forecast for the Stuart-Nechako.
"An upper level disturbance will cross the BC coast this morning and move into the central interior this afternoon," Environment Canada said in an alert for the region issued Thursday morning. "Thunderstorms are expected to develop late in the afternoon and persist into the evening."
People are advised to get inside if they hear thunder or see lightning.
"Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!"
