Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George has received a generous donation from a local society.
After having to retire their previous 15-seater van, the program needed another similar van to help with the before-and-after school program and their licensed shuttle programs.
The Carefree Society has donated a 2007 Dodge Sprinter, which is also fully equipped with a lift system.
"This donation will truly create change for our agency and the children we serve," says Tim Bennett, executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George, in a news release. "This bus would allow us to increase our childcare spaces and serve more children. This donation will also allow us to ensure we are able to offer accessible transportation for our children, families and community."
Bennett adds the van will be used for multiple programs.
