Whether you want to enjoy a cold beer on the patio or enjoy an elegant wine tasting, here is a list of free winery and brewery tours in Prince George to test your pallet no matter what your preferred taste is.

Northern Lights Estate Winery

Northern Lights Estate Winery is located at 745 Prince George Pupmill Rd. and is run by Doug Bell. The winery was created by Development Partners Pat and Brenda Bel, and construction began in 2012. Wines are made primarily from fruits, including blueberry, strawberry, haskap, gooseberry, apple, cherry, raspberry, black currant and rhubarb.

The estate offers free public wine tours seasonally on Sunday, Mondays and Wednesdays at 2 p.m.

The tour includes educational experiences of the orchard, cellar, tank room and ends in the wine shop, where visitors have the choice of an optional wine tasting. Tastings cost $3/person but are free if you purchase a bottle of wine.

Trench Brewing and Distilling

Trench Brewing and Distilling is a relatively new brewery in the Prince George area. The company officially opened on April 20 of this year.
You can find the Trench team at 399 Second Ave.

Tours are free and are provided by one of the owners. There are no set times for tours, so stop by whenever you like and enjoy some beer samples while you're there.

CrossRoads Brewing Canada

CrossRoads Brewing – founded by Daryl Leiski and Bjorn Butow – opened in March of 2017.

Since then, it has been a popular hangout spot for people to enjoy a cold one on the patio and soak up the sun (when it isn’t snowing and – 25 C outside).

The brewery offers free facility tours and is in the process of launching a tour program. Beer samplers are $8.

You can find CrossRoads at 508 George St.
