Theatre North West has broken its own record for highest number of season pass holders.

This year's total of 3,867 pass holders is the highest ever in the theatre's 16-year history, said Bern Whalen, administrative associate.

"This is a wonderful note for us to leave on," said Ted Price, who leaves his position as artistic director at season's end in May, joining Anne Laughlin, founding general manager who retired at the end of December.

The theatre's succession process will be complete following the two final plays Thy Neighbour's Wife beginning Feb. 3 and A Nice Family Gathering that takes the stage April 14.

In the meantime, new artistic director, Troy O'Donnell is preparing for the 2010-2011 season with a new line up of plays to be announced throughout the run of the spring play during the curtain speeches. Also, passes for the new season will be offered in the theatre lobby at that time.
