This year's CIBC Run for the Cure goes Sunday.

The Canadian Cancer Society’s Run for the Cure invites all Prince George residents to join in and help change the future of breast cancer.

This is the 30th CIBC Run for the Cure that has united and inspired people across the country to take action in support of those affected by breast cancer.

Every day more than 75 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in Canada.

This year’s run sees physical and virtual components.

There is a refreshed app and avatar, a live-streamed opening ceremony and a celebration kit for fundraisers who will walk or run in their own neighbourhoods.

During the opening ceremony featured performances by talented Canadian artists include:

· Singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk

· Country singer Brett Kissel

· Drag performer Tynomi Banks
