Take a photo with Gordie the Snow Boy at CN Centre

First it was Agnes the Snow Lady and now it's Gordie the Snow Boy in front of CN Centre this week to cheer on the Prince George Cougars as they go up against the Vancouver Giants.

Snow artists Sarah Bonnar, Samantha Dube and Rene Wade are at it again as they create Gordie the Snow Boy in front of CN Centre this week in anticipation of the Prince George Cougars vs Vancouver Giants games today and Wednesday.

“Gordie wants to represent all the kid hockey players in PG minor hockey – our future hockey stars,” Bonnar said. “We wanted to build Gordie to show team spirit to all our local teams.”

The trio’s last project was Agnes the Snow Lady they created in front of the Chateau senior’s housing complex. Agnes was created to bring a little cheer to the residents during particularly snowy days. To make Agnes the three ladies had to import snow from the Hart but that wasn’t the case this time.

Bonnar, Dube and Wade are making a request from those who see Gordie at CN Centre.

“We hope that we will see pictures of fans and other hockey players with Gordie,” Bonnar said. “Let’s build up team and Prince George spirit - #PGSnowCheer!”

The snow artists are inspired to build more creations as they enjoy the massive snow dump and Bonnar said they already have an idea for their next character. Stay tuned as The Citizen keeps you posted.
