Prince George RCMP arrested three people possibly linked to a recent shooting in the city following an extended chase.

The apprehensions were made last Thursday when, shortly before 10 p.m., local RCMP received a report of a vehicle matching the description from the incident that had twice failed to stop for Mackenzie RCMP.

Police located the group heading south on Highway 97 where, once again, they refused to stop. They then pulled over near Monterey Road West and Erickson Street and fled, prompting RCMP to call in the police dog services team.

Police arrested two suspects for flight from police and one suspect was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was subsequently discharged after being medically cleared.

The arrests were made a day after police were called to a report of a man in a 1600-block Queensway motel suffering from a gunshot wound.

The three were released pending further investigation and their names were not provided. Those arrested and the victim are all known to police, RCMP have said.
