A suspect known to RCMP is in custody after several drugs were found in Vanderhoof.
An investigation continues after police incidentally found packages of suspected cocaine while engaging in a brief foot chase with the individual on Tuesday (Jan. 26).
Mounties responded to the call around 2 p.m. that afternoon as a break-and-enter was reportedly in progress and found the suspect inside the building.
They were eventually arrested without incident and a search of the building coincidentally led to the drug seizure.
No other information is available by RCMP at this time, a news release states, but more details may be released in the future.
