Since the Chamber of Commerce launched their #SupportPG initiative in April 2020 more than 400 local businesses have joined the movement that showcases what businesses are Open Now detailing their changing services and hours of operation.

The site also features stories about businesses, a blog and information about community involvement.

The movement is celebrating its first anniversary by launching a new campaign called Support PG Passport To Your Summer Staycation that sees local residents shop local until Sept. 28 while collecting stickers on printable passports they download from the Support PG website.

The more stamps shoppers collect from local businesses the better chances of winning.

Staycation package draw dates will take place three times during the summer.

“Last year, when the Chamber team envisioned the #SupportPG initiative, we did not foresee the community engagement, partnerships and assistance it could and would bring,” Todd Corrigall, Prince George Chamber of Commerce CEO, said. “The businesses and our community

have embraced the evolutions of this program, ensuring that supporting our local business community and their teams is at the core of all decision making - while we continue to battle for a vibrant business sector that remains with us far beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.”
