Sugar Shack's back

The 30th FrancoFun Winter Festival starts Friday and goes until March 7. This year's lineup of entertainment and activities includes celebrations during the Canada Winter Games as well as crowd-favourite the Sugar Shack brunch.

The 30th FrancoFun Winter Festival starts Friday and goes until March 7.

This year's lineup of entertainment and activities includes celebrations during the Canada Winter Games as well as crowd-favourite the Sugar Shack brunch.

Here is the schedule of events:

Friday Feb. 6, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

30th FRANCOFUN Winter Festival Kick-off and Artists Appreciation Night at Le Cercle des Canadiens Franais, 1752 Fir St.

February 6 to March 7

Art Exhibition at Le Cercle des Canadiens Franais, 1752 Fir St.

February 10 to 12

Movie presentation of Les vacances du Petit Nicolas at the French Immersion and francophone schools.

Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 6:45 p.m.

Movie presentation Le dmantlement, (The Auction) with English subtitles at College of New Caledonia, 3330-22nd Avenue.

Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m.

Bon Dbarras show, BCLC Center stage at Canada Games Plaza

Workshop / School Show

Modern jazz music group Marie Marron

Thursday March 5 at 5:30 p.m.

Seniors luncheon and modern jazz music group Marie Marron show.

Saturday March 7, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Sugar Shack Brunch with free activities at St. Mary's Hall, 1088 Gillett St.

9:30 a.m. to noon Snow Sculpture;

10 a.m. Kids art corner and face painting;

10:30 a.m. Sugar Shack Brunch official opening;

10:45 a.m. or 12:15 p.m. Brunch;

11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Prince George's 100th Anniversary Celebration show with

Les Colons Biens and Marie Marron;

11:30 a.m. two person cross-saw competition; hammering, hockey puck shooting; snowshoeing; toffee on snow ($1);

2 p.m. Start of raffles and silent auction

Brunch tickets are free for members; children under 5 free; students with cards and seniors (60 and over) $18; adults $23; Family, including parents with their children 18 and under $40.

Deadline to buy tickets for brunch is Monday, March 2 at 4:30 p.m.

Each time guests participate at one of the festival activities, they receive an entry to a

grand prize draw for a trip for four by Via Rail from Prince George to Jasper, valued at $925.
