Crown counsel has approved charges against the two men suspected of trying to flee police in a stolen pickup truck.

Jordan Kenneth Oshaway, 26, of Prince George and Aidan Wesley Macdonald, 40, of Cluculz Lake both face one count each of possession of stolen property over $5,000 and obstruction a peace officer.

The two were arrested early Wednesday morning, less than a day after a pickup truck went missing commercial parking lot on Domano Boulevard.

The driver sped away when spotted by an RCMP officer but a few minutes later the vehicle was found in a ditch off Chief Lake Road near Highway 97 and the two were subsequently arrested, one with the help of a police service dog.

Both remained in custody as of Thursday.
