Prince George RCMP are suspecting a stolen truck was used to make off with a trailer holding a snowmobile.

They're on the lookout for a red 2002 Ford F-350 diesel pick-up bearing BC licence plate AW0270, possibly pulling a black v-neck enclosed trailer containing a white 2013 Polaris RMK Pro snowmobile.

The truck went missing from a Heyer Road home off Highway 16 West and the trailer and snowmobile disappeared from an address on Kennedy Crescent off Highway 97 North on the opposite side of the city.

Both were separately reported as missing early Tuesday morning.

"It is not uncommon for organized thieves to steal a truck in order to steal recreational machines or light to heavy equipment," Cpl. Craig Douglass said. "Investigators believe that it is more than likely the case here."
