The Prince George RCMP Crime Reduction Team arrested three individuals Wednesday at about 10 p.m. after a stolen snowmobile was seen in the bed of the truck they were driving.
The CRT has been conducting surveillance on a known criminal hotspot. The vehicle departed the area with its headlights off.
The police tried to conduct a traffic stop of the vehicle but it failed to pull over.
The vehicle fled through stop signs and red lights in order to avoid police. The police then located the vehicle in the 3,000 block of Ferry Avenue and tracked the suspects footprints through the snow. Three suspects were arrested at a residence in the 3,200 block of Christenson Road.
Clinton Lawrence Couiyk, 27, is charged with possession of stolen property, dangerous driving and flight from police. Colby Selly Johnson, 27, is charged with possession of stolen property and flight from police. The third suspect, a female, was released without charges.
