Theatre BC has extended the deadline for drama scholarship applications to Tuesday, June 15.
The Jessie L. Richardson Scholarship and the Sid Williams Memorial Scholarship are presented annually and worth $1,000 each. Applicants must be accepted by a recognized Canadian Theatre School or post-secondary theatre department. Grade 12 students can apply as long as they state the school they've applied to. Applicants or their parent(s)must be current members of Theatre BC.
There's also the Mien van Heek Memorial Scholarship which is meant for an individual furthering his or her education in technical or design-related stage craft. The person must also be entering the senior years of his or her training and be a Theatre BC member.
Recipients will be announced at the Mainstage awards ceremony in Kamloops.
