Stage readings return to Theatre NorthWest

Kate Hennig's The Last Wife is the first stage reading at Theatre NorthWest since last fall when COVID-19 restrictions forced the theatre to postpone productions

A stage reading of Kate Hennig's The Last Wife was performed on stage at Theatre NorthWest on Friday evening. The reading, which was directed and presented by Melissa Glover, marked the first time since last fall that the popular readings were performed on stage in front of a live audience.

The reading featured Catherine Hansen as Katherine Parr, David Leach as King Henry the Eighth, Andrew Kielty as Thomas Seymour, Katiel Hrankowski as Mary, Sofie McCarthy as Bess, and Dawson Jones as Edward.

The stage readings continue with a second performance of The Last Wife on Saturday evening followed by Jordan Tannahill's Botticelli in the Fire on July 9th, and Natalie Meisner's Speed Dating for Sperm Donors on July 10th. All three shows are scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. at Theatre NorthWest.
