Stabbing victim and suspect acquainted: RCMP

The stabbing of a 20-year-old male near the Columbus Community Centre on Domano Boulevard is believed to be a targeted act, said Prince George RCMP. A 32-year-old male suspect is now in custody following the violent crime, which occurred around 1 a.

The stabbing of a 20-year-old male near the Columbus Community Centre on Domano Boulevard is believed to be a targeted act, said Prince George RCMP.

A 32-year-old male suspect is now in custody following the violent crime, which occurred around 1 a.m. on Dec. 18.

RCMP have determined that the suspect and victim were known to each other.

The accused is believed to be a resident of Vancouver, but is known to frequent the Prince George area.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing and arrived on scene to find the victim, who is still in the hospital for his injuries.

Witness reports led police to an older model, green GMC Jimmy seen leaving the area.

Police located the vehicle and arrested the 32-year-old male driver for assault with a weapon.
