Robert Gordon Michael Elliott, 42, has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm from an alleged May 23 incident.

Elliott was arrested by members of the Uniform Gang Enforcement Team while in the city to carry out checks on suspected drug dealers, and in the process, witnessed a stabbing.

A branch of the B.C. Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit, UGET is based in the Lower Mainland but is regularly deployed to communities across the province.

Elliott, who also faces a count of assault from an alleged February 2 incident in Prince George, has a lengthy record from crimes committed in Terrace.
