A man was stabbed in the upper arm early Monday as he walked along Quebec Street in Prince George.
The victim told police he heard the sound of breaking glass, and was then struck with what he believes was a broken bottle. The assailant left immediately after striking the victim.
The man walked to the Royal Canadian Legion where he contacted police. He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital of Northern B.C. where a four-to-five-inch gash was examined and treated. The man described his assailant as wearing dark sneakers, pants, T-shirt and jacket, but could not identify his nationality. The reason for the assault has not been determined and the assailant remains unidentified as the police continue to investigate.
