Stabbing linked to Saik'uz reserve

A 17-year-old youth was arrested Thursday after Vanderhoof RCMP were called to a report of a stabbing on the Saik'uz First Nation reserve south of the community 100 kilometres west of Prince George.

A 17-year-old youth was arrested Thursday after Vanderhoof RCMP were called to a report of a stabbing on the Saik'uz First Nation reserve south of the community 100 kilometres west of Prince George.

A 26-year-old man was transported was transported to Vanderhoof Hospital where he was stabilized and then taken by ambulance to Prince George Hospital for further surgery, Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said.

Police were called to the scene at 9:30 a.m.
