The Prince George Spruce Kings hockey team got a bit of a rough ride before they got to the rink Thursday night when their bus hit a soft patch of pavement and slid into the ditch while travelling to Langley.

The rear end of the bus left the rain-soaked highway but remained upright, according to Spruce Kings' play-by-play broadcaster Ron Gallo, in his Spruce Kings Crusader blog. There were no injuries.

The Kings will be in Langley tonight to face the River Kings, then travel to Coquitlam for a Saturday game against the Express.

Those games will be broadcast on www.cfis.com.
