Organizers hope to match and exceed last year's $5,700 when a second annual fundraising dinner for the SPCA animal shelter's veterinary costs is held this weekend.
Dubbed "Spay-ghetti and No Balls" dinner and silent auction, it's set for Sunday at North 54.
The main course features a choice between "spaghetti with no balls" and chicken sausage with either tomato ragu or alfredo sauce.
The appetizer is a choice between caesar salad and maple infused sweet potato soup with crme fraiche and the desert is white chocolate mousse cake with strawberry compote.
Items available for the silent auction include travel, art work, a portable barbecue, fashion items, home decor, dog products and a popcorn cart.
Tickets are $50 per person and are being sold at the shelter, 4011 Lansdowne Rd., and at North 54, 1493 Third Ave. Or call Valerie Giles at 250-562-8840 to get tickets delivered.
