The New Hope Society is seeking donations that will be offered to marginalized women during an annual Christmas dinner.
The women in need are given backpacks (about 100) filled with essentials like cold weather clothing, blankets, toiletries and treats like baked goods and sweets, or small items like arts and crafts supplies or games.
The Prince George New Hope Society is a registered non-profit community-based organization providing services for survival sex workers, the sexually exploited, as well as victims of human trafficking.
The agency works with community groups who deal with homelessness, poverty, addiction, grief, violence and discrimination.
When donating more than $20, a tax receipt will be issued.
Any donation, big or small, is welcome and can be dropped off at New Hope, 1046 Fourth Ave., Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or call for pick up at 250-562-8680. For more information about the society visit www.princegeorgenewhopesociety.ca
