Roughly a week after one heavy snowfall came to an end, Environment Canada warned Thursday morning that another major dump is on the way.

Between 15 and 25 cm of snow was forecast to fall overnight and through to late Friday.

"A Pacific warm front will spread snow into the Central Interior later (Thursday) with generally light amounts," Environment Canada said in the warning.

"The snow will then become heavy overnight and Friday as a low pressure system approaches from the northwest."

The heaviest amounts were forecast to hit the Cariboo, Prince George and McGregor regions. Lesser amounts of near 10 cm were forecast for the Southern Yellowhead and Western Chilcotin.

Depending on the area, 30 to 40 cm fell on Prince George during the last event.
