Indulging your sweet tooth over the next week can pay dividends for local healthcare organizations.
Once again, Tim Hortons will be selling its smile cookies for $1 at participating locations with all proceeds going to two local charities, the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society's Kordyban Lodge.
The fundraiser has been popular locally, generating $60,963 in donations to the Kordyban Lodge in the last two years alone. Tim Hortons locations in Canada and the United States brought in more than $4 million for 350 charitable groups through last year's international smile cookie campaign.
The cookies will be on sale for one week, beginning on Monday.
