The trial into whether Coun. Brian Skakun violated privacy legislation is set to resume for two more days starting tomorrow.

He is accused of leaking a report in 2008 on the conduct of Ann Bailey, who was at the time the top civilian employee at Prince George RCMP. A copy appeared on the CBC website in Aug. 2008 for a day before it was pulled off.

So far, the proceedings have consumed seven days during which a dozen witnesses have testified. Skakun said he expects testimony and closing arguments to be wrapped up by the end of the next session.

The case is being heard in provincial court by judge Ken Ball.
